Friday's Feast #173

A bit late for today's feast... I went to the salon this afternoon and had a haircut as well as permed my hair! Lovin' the way it looks, but you will need to wait for a pic cause I'm too lazy to do that now. Here's the feast, enjoy!

Appetizer

Name 2 things you would like to accomplish in 2008.

1. lose weight, and 2. start a Master's degree, preferably in Theology/Divinity/the like.

Soup

With which cartoon character do you share personality traits?

There was this personality quiz I can't remember where (I think it was in facebook) called which Disney Character are you, and I got Belle (from Beauty and the Beast)! I couldn't agree more.

Salad

What time of day (or night) were you born?

17.35 aka 5.35PM, so it was afternoon.

Main Course

Tell us something special about your hometown.

Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia, so it's where all the hustle and bustle is. The most crowded city in Indonesia, it has a population of about 12 million people but during day time it increases to I think 16 million as the others live in the satellite cities.

Dessert

If you could receive a letter from anyone in the world, who would you want to get one from?

Anyone in the world huh? Hmm... I'm going to have to say Keanu (as in Pink Panther's brother. Yes, those are nicknames) :P

In case I have no time to post anymore... HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! (It's going to be a pretty busy one for me!)

Prayer Request

My uncle was involved in an accident a few weeks ago, and is in pretty bad condition. The hospital bill has amounted about $1400, so please pray that we could raise enough money to cover the bill, as well as further medication needed.

There's a whole lot more to the story as my uncle had left his wife and two kids for another woman and they now have a baby as well. He also moved from Bali to a remote city in the hopes to receive more income but instead he is always low on money. Now with the accident it will be worse because he won't be able to work for at least 3 months.

On the other hand, his daughter from the first marriage is heartbroken and very rebellious. Also, she was hospitalized for dengue fever last week.

I might need to add that both families are not making enough money.

Please pray for them. While you're at it, perhaps you could also pray that they will return to God (yes, all of them), because they had left their faith.

Thank you and God Bless.

Randomness

I finally started a 'journal' on the 23rd. Originally I wanted to wait until new year's and make it sort of a project for 2008. But I couldn't resist the urge anymore. LOL.
I'm currently using the empty book I got from Girlosophy, and it's looking fab. I haven't yet turned it into a scrapbook though... mainly because I haven't really got anything to paste in, and no time either. But at least it serves well as a writing outlet, and I'm loving it. I also made a point of using it as a sermon journal, a gratitude journal (I write down 3 things I'm thankful about each day), as well as to write in random quotes I find inspiring.

Other than that... hmm... Christmas eve was great even though there was a minor glitch that was major enough to fill two pages of my journal about Josh. But I decided he's not going to ruin my Christmas so I'm not going to repeat the story.

Next up, my cousin had delivered the two bibles I ordered, but forgot the booklet about Aslan as well as all the extras (read: catalogs) that were sent together, so when I saw it on her desk this morning I casually asked about it and not it's in my hands. I hate the fact that Christianbook.com doesn't send to Indonesia. But maybe it's a good thing, I might become broke for ordering too many things. Hahah. And it's so awesome that they have special prices. I mean seriously. The two Bibles I ordered? They cost me $4.99 each. That's about 10% of what it would cost if sold in any bookstore here in Jakarta. I'm also freakin' over their surprise packs. Eeks! I've always loved surprise bags when I was younger. I didn't get a lot of them because they don't have it here. But every time we're in Germany I would get one (or two, or three) of 'em... you know those bags/boxes filled with all the 'leftovers' at the store? Very cheap, and lots of fun! Will someone PLEASE send me those things?? :D

My other cousin forgot to buy me the YP's I asked her to buy for me in Singapore and now mom has agreed to let me subscribe! Hahaha. While I was looking at the website... there were special offers! I had to get them. Luckily they send to Indonesia. Now all I have to do is wait for it to arrive. Hopefully not TOO long.

People, if you live in America, Europe, or in fact Singapore... would you please be so kind to let me send stuff to your house? Hahaha... even better yet if you would be kind enough to just buy me stuff? LOL. Just kidding. I wouldn't mind though. Who would, right? Right!

happy mother's day!

Mom's surprise arrived, and even though she scolded me for buying such an expensive flower arrangement, I know she's happy. Well, she told me she is too. She said it's the first time anyone gave her flowers on Mother's Day. Obviously, since it's the first time I bought her one. And I'm her only daughter now, am I not? Well, there's my brother. But he's not that thoughtful. LOL.

I ordered a White Lily arrangement, and even though the florist's arrangement isn't very nice, the flowers are just amazing! And they smell amazing too, it's filling the whole house. But I think it's triggering my allergies. Eugh. Anyways, mom's happily taking pictures of the flowers, so I'm happy :)

Oh, and BTW, in case you're wondering... it's actually Mother's Day in Indonesia today. I have no idea about the history, but yeah... mothers in Indonesia get to have two mother's days! :D

Did I mention that...

I have received yet MORE early Christmas pressies? Hahah. I'm so lucky, I know. I got a new bag & a new pair of shoes, both very pretty. The bag is blue and it has prints of butterflies with glitter. The shoes are black with a silver buckle. And then I also got some 'minor' items like stickers, key chain, and hair accessories.

And of course my cousin arrived with the teddy bear which turned out to be Pummy (in a smaller size than the link, I think). Funny thing is... I already have Urs, so it was as if Urs got a lil brother (or son). Look at how cute they are together:

I'm still waiting for my cousin to bring over the two bibles I ordered and shipped to her. Then my life will be complete. LOL. Oh wait, I forgot that when I was looking for the links for Urs and Pummy, I found this. Eeeks... I want!! Guess human are never satisfied, huh? And then again... you can't have everything. But God is really awesome! He gives you the perfect thing at the perfect timing. It just amazes me every time.

You see, we (mom & I) held a small 'Christmas Party' with the employees of the Music School earlier. Mom had prepared presents of two silver cross necklaces, two new watches, and one used watch but still in very good condition. Since we thought it would be unfair otherwise, we packed everything in the same white envelope and had them choose. To my amazement... Ms. A, a former Catholic now pretty much an atheist that Mom's trying to bring back to the faith (she's willing to, just needs a little push) got the cross necklace. Mom, seeing the opportunity, commented it was a sign that she should come back. I think she will.

Ms. D got a new watch. She said: "God really is good... I was just planning to buy myself a watch this Christmas!"

And Ms. J got the used watch... the amazing thing is... mom had planned to give her that particular watch before deciding to pack it up as a Christmas present. LOL.

Gosh, I love Christmas :)

No TT today!

Cause I've been out of the house since early morning. I'm still in the car now, in fact.

We went to an orphanage cum old people's house (is there a special name for it?) with the choir to celebrate Christmas. To all of our surprises, there were 3 groups arriving at the same time... So it was a HUGE celebration! Lots of fun, I tell you! I hope we manage to cheer the grandmas & grandpas because some really look very sad. Who wouldn't be. I went around to take pictures so maybe I'll post that on next week's TT.

Next up, my brother had been judging a choir festival at one of the big and famous malls here, and today was the finals! There was this quite famous Indonesian singer, Edo Kondologit singing The First Noel and I sang the harmony next to the stage. He heard me and offered me the mike. But guess what? Yep. I chickened out. There goes my chance to be famous. LOL.

Anyways, mom and I couldn't stay for the competition because we had a rehearsal for Christmas Eve at church. I wasn't too happy bout going but sort of had to cause I have a solo part to sing. And THEN when I arrived... Guess who was there? JOSH. Totally unexpected. He was playing one of the shepherds. Funny though, as I sat there, I no longer feel the way I used to feel when I'm around Josh. In fact I felt almost normal.

So... Was it really just infatuation all these years, and have I finally moved on? I'm not sure whether I'd be happy or sad if the answer is yes. D'oh. Oh, I did feel this terrible urge to straighten his polo shirt collar. Hahaha. Okay. Enough nonsense. I'll reach home soon. Boss is arriving home too tonight. I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about this either. I guess I'll have to take my usual approach and just go with the flow ;)

I got EVEN MORE early Christmas presents today :D

Which includes the latest PostSecret book, a Christmas song CD, a CD from an Indonesian band I'm not even that sure I'm going to like, a 40th anniversary edition DVD of Sound of Music, and a DVD of Paris Je T'aime movie.

I really think I should get some work done now. Hahah.

tired...

I finally finished most of the hard work... (breathes in and out) all the layouting for my Sunday School devotional and the kid's magazine done! It was hard work, but it never ceases to make me happy once it's printed and hundreds of people will see it, and probably be blessed by it. It's such a happy feeling! I also sent all the pending e-mails (I think)... but as always, I can't help but wonder if there's something I forgot. And usually there is. But anyway.

Oh, in case you haven't guessed, I had a pretty busy weekend. Had a mental breakdown on work but it's okay for now cause my boss will be in Singapore til Thursday. Hahah. I'm seriously thinking of leaving, though. It's just that I haven't found a replacement, and I don't think I can afford not having my usual income (even if it's only been a few months).

On other things, the Sunday School Christmas celebration on Saturday went pretty good, and singing at church Sunday morning was okay too. Sunday School was great, especially cause we're going to have a joint class again next week (read: a 100% chance of meeting Josh, unless he bails his Storytelling task, which is unlikely).

Speaking of Josh, yes, I'm still somewhat obsessed by him. Although I wasn't acting THAT stupid yesterday. I think. LOL. It's seriously time for me to move on. For all I know Josh might be engaged to that girl I saw him hugging around the mall a few months back. And he's probably not interested in me anymore. Not that he ever was. He just might have played me all along, seeing how freakishly attracted to him I was. Right? Or maybe not. It's all just really confusing, and I think... I think I should just take it one step at the time. As they always say, if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

Enough about Josh. I also feel the need to report that I AM LOVING MY NEW PHONE! Yeaah...! Now I'm off to sleep. It's raining heavily. Should be very nice to sleep. Or have a cup of hot chocolate. But I already had two today. I'm endangering my weight loss. Sleep it is.

I'm loving this but I'm also somewhat scared bout what it will do to my phone credit :'(
note to self: must get self a twitter account! Hahaha

Friday's Feast #172

Appetizer

Make up a word and give us its definition.
Gosh, I'm really not feeling that creative at the moment... hmm... dillifc (dill-if-see) which means 'do I look like I freakin' care?! LOL.

Soup

What is currently your favorite song?
All I want for Christmas - Mariah Carey

Salad

What’s at the top of your Christmas wish list this year?
Baby, All I want for Christmas is you... ;)
Hahaha... Okay, if you read some of my older entries you'll notice that I already got most of the stuff I wanted. But in the spirit of Christmas, I wish for surprises! Lots and lots of nice surprises! :D

Main Course

Name a scent that reminds you of someone special in your life.
Hmm... there's this one perfume I still haven't figured out what brand it is. I think it was CK. But it doesn't really remind me of a particular someone, it just messes with my mind and feeling terribly (in a good way, that is).

Dessert

Who is someone on television that you feel probably shouldn’t be, and why?
Most of the Indonesian TV drama actors and actresses, because they really can't act and the drama itself sucks.

Thursday Thirteen - 13th edition

Whoa, I've been so busy the whole day! It's amazing. And there's still a zillion things on my to do list. Good gracious! I'm taking some time off to write this anyway. Who would miss an opportunity to write the 13th edition of Thursday Thirteen on the 13th??? Not me.

13 Reasons Why I Love the Number 13

  1. First and foremost... I was born on the 13th.

  2. It gets better. When my mom was studying in Germany, she lived with a couple I consider my grandparens. Both of them were also born on the 13th.

  3. Not cool enough? By the time I was born, they have been living in their house for 13 years.

  4. Best of all, My dad was also born on the 13th...

  5. And here's the freaky part. I was NOT supposed to be born on the 13th. I was due early December, but mom (not yet a Christian at the time) sort of prayed that if my dad was her true love, I would be born on the 13th. You know what happened.

  6. Next up, my first ever crush was also born on a 13th. (PS: I dreamed about him last night, it was so vivid I am still disturbed to this moment. It was a sweet dream, though)

  7. AND, the guy who was my first kiss, was also born on the 13th.

  8. I kinda wish that my true love will also be born on a 13th. But that would eliminate Josh, Mr. Nonsense, Keanu, and a bunch of other guys I like from the list, and instead include this guy I'm trying to avoid. So maybe not. Would be pretty cool though. Who knows...

  9. Did I mention that I was 13 when I got my first period?

  10. I also like the number 13 because there are many people who don't like it. Sort of makes it special :)

  11. Oh, and I won the 'battle' over the number 13 during my internship. Mr. Nonsense was making a uniform t-shirt for all of us, and my manager wanted the number 13 (he was also born on a 13th, BTW), but Mr. Nonsense told him it was mine! Hahaha.

  12. That means I have a shirt with the number 13 on the back. Actually two, because I nicked the design for our class T-Shirt, and even though the guy I'm trying to avoid (see a few numbers up) begged to have a number 13, I made one using the number 13 anyway :P

  13. Last but not least, there's a meme called Thursday Thirteen, which I love very, VERY much!

even MORE early christmas pressies!

guess who finally got a new mobile phone after all?? Yeps... I have a new phone! And I'm loving it! Love, love, love my Nokia 5310 Xpress Music Mobile Phone. It's just so pretty... and all in blue (I got the blue version, of course)! The casing is very nice metallic blue, and inside, EVERYTHING is blue, the menu, the themes. And it's also very thin and small... like I mentioned yesterday, almost the size of my iPod nano. It's half the size of my blue Samsung (I found out it's a SGH E-870).

I still can't really part with the Samsung though... all because I keep remembering Mr. Nonsense's expression when he first saw that phone. It was priceless. But then again, despite his dislike of Nokia phones, I'd bet I'd get a similar expression on this Nokia as well. And it's not like Mr. Nonsense still matters to me anyway. So yeah, I guess I could handle parting with my nice blue Samsung. It's rather old and dusty anyway. Maybe I'll take several photos of it as a remembrance too. Or... maybe sooner or later I'll get the Nokia 2505 CDMA, and that might get my mind off the Samsung since they're pretty similar (except the Nokia is sooo much thinner).

Oh, there's still one more catch about the Nokia. I'm dreading the fact that I will see zillion of people using the same phone in the near future. I just CAN'T stand being 'one of the crowd'. My Samsung's are very unique. That's because when they first came out, they didn't get a chance to be popular because the company straight away launched a new line. Hey, who knows Nokia might do the same with the 5310. I doubt it though. The things too pretty. It should take them some time to come up with something better. Maybe a bigger memory? Well, I'll leave it to the Nokia people. I'm content. Really, I am.

Blissful Sunday

It all started when we woke up late for church. Seriously. We made it quite on time though. Sunday School was awesome cause the kids were great and of course Josh was there too despite his late coming and annoyed expression at some point of the hour.

As I mentioned earlier it was my turn to do the sermon, and thank God it went well. I find it amazing every time God seems to put thoughts in my head and words in my mouth, and everything just sort of flows together nicely (Romans 8:26 is so true!). And the children's expressions... priceless! My colleague left me and Josh to train the kids to sing for their Christmas musical, and that went pretty good too. They actually sang quite well, I must say.

This was then followed by a somewhat in-depth bible study as we prepared ourselves for next week's service. Oh, and I talked my way to have the two classes joined again, so I'll be seeing Josh, again. Hahaha. But then again, I'm still unsure about Josh... but I can't help myself. Whatever. Let me enjoy it while I still can, right? Right.

After that... mom and I went to the mall and we stayed there for hours cause my brother had a family meeting to attend (he's my 'adopted' brother, in case you're wondering, so he has a whole set of different family than mine. But that's a long story). We went to see One Night with the King, which was really not as bad as the review (my review coming soon). Then, we went for a shopping spree, which was lots of fun and I got more early Christmas presents. Including, an ODM watch I've always wanted to have (more details on that later), two teddy bears (merchandise bears, actually. One from Metro department store and the other from The Body Shop, which means I also got a new tub of lip balm and body butter since it came with the bear), Pixar's Short Animation DVD volume 1, and two Bible Study books.

I also almost got a new handphone (a new Nokia which is about the size of my iPod Nano. I forgot the type) but I hesitated because it meant that I have to give mom my Blue Samsung (I can't remember the type, either) which I love very much, so I passed on the offer. I kinda regret it now. I'm trying to talk mom into buying the handphone for me, but it's not working. Yet. :D

To top it all, we went for dinner at an all-you-can-eat Japanese BBQ restaurant, which was amazing although it attributed to me gaining weight. Hope to lose it back today, though. And of course, what made it all so blissful... my boss did not contact me at ALL the whole day (and Saturday too)! Woohooo. It was awesome. Really. I haven't returned to reality :P

hmm...

There was a glitch in the code before which made it impossible to go to other pages once you click on either link. It kept me uneasy all through the shopping trip. Hahah.

Fixed that.

Next up... I forgot my counter, and the code for MyBlogLog. Must fix tomorrow. Now, it's time to shower and sleep. It's late!

Ciao, people! In case you're really reading this, please comment even just to say hi. Thank you.

whoa, I did it... I did it!

New layout at your service! Let me know what you think :)

Some things are not yet working, of course. Such as my nifty smiley thingy. Must work out the code again to figure it out. But for now I'm content. I'm also sleepy. And tomorrow I have to go to church early morning followed by Sunday School as usual. OMG. I have to tell the story tomorrow and I haven't prepared! VERY bad. Mom wants to go shopping. Gosh.

Anyways, at least the layouts up. I'm very happy.

working on the new layout

I've decided to throw in a Christmas layout after all. But it still needs much work. Hmm... hopefully I could finish it. I'm seriously running out of ideas. Help. Help!! :))

Boredom Fillers

You Have Many Alpha Tendencies

You're not a total alpha female, but you certainly know how to - and like to - get your way.
You're forceful without being intimidating. You're confident without being vain. A perfect mix.
Are You an Alpha Female?

People Envy Your Compassion

You have a kind heart and an unusual empathy for all living creatures. You tend to absorb others' happiness and pain.
People envy your compassion, and more importantly, the connections it helps you build. And compassionate as you are, you feel for them.
What Do People Envy About You?

You Are a Good Student of Men

You're pretty good at knowing what men are thinking
But you're not dead on 100% of the time
Let your guy off the hook sometimes... because you may be reading him all wrong!
How Well Do You Understand Men?

You Are a Passionate Kisser

You are the most likely type to kiss a sexy stranger

Your kissing style is unpredictable and free spirited

You could kiss anyone at a drop of a hat

It's all about where your passion leads you
What's Your Kissing Style?

is blogger being evil?

It is taking me YEARS to get to comment forms when it is in a pop-up. Are you experiencing the same thing, or is it just my internet connection?

I'm turning off the pop-up on my blog for the moment to see what will happen...

Friday's Feast #171

First of all thank you everyone who visited my TT yesterday. Hope all of you will get to see Enchanted soon! You absolutely MUST watch it. Not that my opinion counts that much, really :P

Thank you as well for the comments about my layout. I can't take full credit for it though, since the original code was made by Daisy, although I did alter it to fit my taste ;)

I'm very sorry about the long loading code. Could it be from the Enchanted movie poster? (Cause I've been bad and direct linked it >:)) I'll change that after this.

Anyways, I'm thinking about putting up a Christmas layout, but with this layout being so special and all I'm not so sure. What do you think? Should I change it?? Let me know after the feast :)

Appetizer
What was the last game you purchased?

I bought a CD filled with mini games last. I think most are available Big Fish Games. That's a really long time ago though, before my thesis writing days. Hmm... The last game I remembered loving from that CD was Fairy Godmother Tycoon. Hey, I just noticed they have a new version of Mystery Case Files available. Goodie! But it was so much more fun playing it with my friends on the projector at campus, though :(

Soup
Name something in which you don’t believe.
Okay. Great. THIS is such a hard question! Hmm... okay. I don't believe that there are people in the world who don't like teddy bears. Seriously. Let me know if you don't like teddy bears. I'll argue. =))

Salad
If you could choose a celebrity to be your boss, who would you pick?
Err... I'm having enough trouble with my current boss, thank you very much. But maybe a good looking single male celebrity could be interesting. AND who knows what could happen next... :x

Main Course

What was a lesson you had to learn the hard way?

I could seriously think of 10 different topics to write about here. But I'll stick with one. Otherwise you'd be too full and might not be able to enjoy the dessert. Hahah. So, my lesson of the day is... Trust your instincts! I still have occasional problems with this. For some reason, I keep second guessing myself. This is particularly during tests and essays. I usually end up with my second answer, when the first answer was actually the correct one. So stupid of moi!

Dessert

Describe your idea of the perfect relaxation room.
First thing first. Air Conditioner! Jakarta is sooooo HOT! Next, a full-view window, preferably that looks out to a very nice view. I would also love to have the ceilings painted with clouds (there's a mall here who does very pretty clouds! I love it!), and then a very nice stereo playing all kinds of calming music. I would also require a comfortable sofa, carpets and wooden floors, a nice bed too, all decked in various cuddly stuff. WHICH includes lots of teddy bears, of course. And please do provide me tons of nice books, a laptop, and a cup of hot chocolate. Heaven.

Thursday Thirteen - 12th edition

13 of my FAVORITE scenes of the movie ENCHANTED

WARNING! SPOILERS ahead! :D

  1. Arriving in Manhattan - It's just too funny the way all the characters arrive from a pothole! Hahaha. Especially when Prince Edward and Pip came! LOL.

  2. Welcome to New York - When what's his name... Morgan's dad... sarcastically said 'Welcome to New York!' and Giselle turned so happy!

  3. Cancelling the Taxi - This is the scene where Morgan's dad (I still can't recall his name!) wanted to order a taxi for Giselle but then decided not to after seeing Giselle asleep on the couch.

  4. City Animals - When Giselle sang her 'animal calling' tune and the animals that responded to her were Rats, Pigeons, Flies, and Cockroaches... so disgusting and yet so funny! And very clever too... instead of all the cute forest animals which you would definitely NOT find in the city. Hahah. And the way the cockroaches clean the bathtub! Ieeuuuwww... but still very interesting part of the movie.

  5. The 'Magic' Shower - How the pigeons helped Giselle with the towel! So classic Disney and sooo cute. And the conversation about the shower... and then of course the scene where Giselle fell on top of that guy I still can't remember what he's name was.

  6. The Dress - Hahaha. The curtains were so cute! And how she made such a nice dress in a flash. And then the next day when she made another dress and that guy (still don't know what his name is) just looks at it understandingly.

  7. How Does She Know, You Love Her - The singing in the park scene! VERY beautiful!! And the white doves bringing the heart shaped flower? Too sweet.

  8. Poison Apple - I find it very nifty how the apple changed from 2D animation to real apples just like that!

  9. Pip's Drama - In which he tried to show the fat guy (great, I forgot his name too) trying to poison Giselle, and Edward just doesn't get it. Also, Pip's little squeaky voice where you can actually hear what he's saying.

  10. You're Not Singing - When Edward finally found Giselle and started singing 'their' song but Giselle didn't chirp in. That's when you realize she was no longer in love with Edward.

  11. A Date - Giselle: "Oh, Edward... before we go home, there's something that I'd like to do", Edward: "Name it my love, and you shall receive it" (or something like that), Giselle: "Well, I would like to go on a date", Edward (VERY happily): "Oh, a Daaaatteee...", Edward (suddenly shocked): "What's a date??" :))

  12. An Emergency - Giselle asking Morgan for help, and Morgan taking out Dad's credit card. Morgan: "I know something better than Fairy Godmother. Dad said it's only for emergencies. And this is definitely an emergency!" Also the scene where Morgan asks if that's what it like to go shopping with your mother. And the boys are only after one thing dialog. Hahaha.

  13. King and Queen's Ball - Again, VERY beautiful scene. And Giselle's dance with what's his name (okay, somebody please tell me his name??) and the guy suddenly starts singing!! (which shows that he's in love with Giselle). Followed by, of course, the True Love's Kiss. Aaaahhh... how sweet...

AND as a bonus, I also liked the extras about what happened with everyone else. Especially Prince Edward and what's her name? Also, how happy Giselle and Morgan and her Dad were, opening the clothing store and having so many trees in their house :)

Friendster Apps

Friendster is definitely suffering as people move their interest to Facebook. And alas, today I found out they have introduced Friendster Apps. They still have a very long way to go if they want to beat facebook, though...

Disneys' Enchanted

I guess if I tell you that I watched this movie twice two days in a row, there shouldn't be much left to say, right? Right. I loved this movie. I think it's this one complete package. There's some 2-D animation, there's real life, and there's complicated strikingly beautiful 3-D animations too. It's a love story, a fairy tale no doubt, a comedy in so many ways, an action movie, a musical, a fantasy movie, a horror movie, and so much more all cramped into 1 hour and 47 minutes. It's terribly romantic yet full of wit and wisdom, and not too mention extremely clever puns! Even though the ending was a bit predictable, it is still full of surprises and twists, at least when you first saw it :P -- And of course I laughed happily ever after!

Actually I wanted to post more here but due to time constraints, more on Disney's Enchanted this Thursday as I post my 13 Favorite Scenes from the movie. And if you haven't seen it, please go and watch it before you come back to read my TT.

Oh, and if I didn't convince you well enough (after all it is only the first time ever I wrote a movie review and I'm not even sure I'd convince myself with this short post), check out more reviews at Rotten Tomatoes!

The Woes of Weekend

I had a VERY tiring weekend. Well actually it was pretty much a mixture of good things and bad things. Saturday I had an awesome lunch for free and watched a wonderful movie for free too. Plus, I had a taste of the wonderful Peppermint Mocha Frapuccino from Starbucks. All this in exchange for a long useless business meeting and accompanying my business guest on a hunt for a t-shirt. Yet, at night, just as I was ready to watch the movie Zoom on HBO (I've been looking forward to it) - My boss called and asked me to do the most useless things a boss could ask you to do on a Saturday night when you have been doing lots of things the whole day and you're looking forward to a funny movie and a good night sleep. On top of that, whenever I'm very, very tired and am forced to persevere, I short circuit. I would break down in a never ending flow of tears. And of course when I finished what I was supposed to do (in tears), the movie was finished. I went to bed still crying.

Sunday morning I was okay. Had to wake up VERY early for church, followed by Sunday School. We put the two sixth grade classes together which means I was facing a class of about roughly 36 kids. My colleague who's supposed to do the MC lost her voice so I volunteered. Luckily we had a microphone system there for some unknown reason. I was a bit annoyed by the fact that my colleague who told the lesson didn't cooperate well with my introduction, but anyways. Another good thing was having Josh there. Although maybe that's a bad thing, cause it made me realize that I still love him. But that would be a very long and different story so lets focus back on my weekend.
After Sunday School, we (mom+me+bro) planned to go to the movies to watch Disney's Enchanted (I saw it on Saturday and promoted). Sounds like a pretty good Sunday, right? Right, except that all along in between my boss keep messaging me with all kinds of questions (read: I was 'working' on Sunday!!)

Nevertheless, I completely forgot about my weekend this morning as I happily had a lovely breakfast (raviolis), played lovely violin if I must say so myself, enjoyed a warm shower and went about town running some errands. And let's not forget that wonderful Smoked Chicken Melt Foccacia Sandwich I had which was just HEAVENLY. Now if only I could get my hands on a Peppermint Mocha Frapucinno, I'd be happy and content. But I can't, for the fear of gaining weight and losing money. Firstly, of course, it's pretty expensive. Secondly, mom's paying me 200,000 for every kg I lose... so if I don't get the Frapucinno I'll be saving money twice, figuratively speaking.

So instead... let me fill you in on my review of the movie I saw twice this weekend aka Disney's Enchanted, right after this, while I contemplate whether or not I should get myself that Frapucinno while I still can...
